We are delighted to announce the Data for Energy Skills Accelerator, an intensive 8-week online learning programme teaching sought-after data skills for free.
Shell UK is funding an 18-month project with FastFutures to deliver this pre-employability bootcamp, teaching data and digital workplace skills with a focus on the energy transition, providing the opportunity for learners to achieve a Power BI certificate. The programme will run once this month and once in Q1 2024, targeted at people aged 18+ from diverse backgrounds and those nearest to the job market.
Supporting 15,000 people into jobs
Shell UK has made a commitment across the decade to support communities across the UK by powering lives through jobs and skills. Shell UK aims to support 15,000 people into jobs, and will ensure people and communities in the UK benefit from the skills and opportunities in the energy transition.
The investment will be used to help people with barriers to work, fenceline communities and those throughout the UK to contribute towards an inclusive transition. Shell’s support will unlock diverse talent for the future energy workforce and ensure the energy transition is an opportunity for everyone
