What are higher and degree apprenticeships?
Gain a foundation degree
Higher apprenticeships are at levels 4 and 5; they're equivalent to a foundation degree and can be taken after A-levels or a level 3 apprenticeship.
Varying jobs
Higher apprenticeships are highly popular as a stepping stone to a sought after career in a variety of fields, including business, data, software, accounting or even HR.
Gain your bachelor's
Gain a degree without university! Degree apprenticeships at level 6 are equivalent to a bachelor’s and level 7 to a master’s.
No student debt
Degree apprenticeships help you avoid expensive tuition fees while earning a salary. Gain a competitive advantage and land a job before your uni peers!
How higher and degree apprenticeships work
To ensure this split is met, Avado provides a 20% off the job tracker that the apprentice, their Learning & Development Coach, and line manager can monitor.
The earning power of degree apprenticeships
National Minimum Wage (NMW)
While the Apprentice NMW is £3.90, we only work with employers that pay at least £4.81.
Well-paid
Despite the NMW, degree apprenticeships often pay similar salaries to graduate jobs and middle management positions.
Increased earnings
Those completing a higher apprenticeship could see increased earnings of an estimated £150,000 over their lifetime.

There will be different entry requirements depending on the industry and the job level, however, most degree apprenticeships require you to have at least five GCSEs grades A-C, and Level 3 qualifications, including A levels, NVQ/SVQ Level 3, or a BTEC National.
